  • Repeals state prohibition against manufacturing, importing, selling, or possessing a “sawed-off shotgun” (Sec. 4).
  • Defines “sawed-off shotgun” as meeting the following criteria (Sec. 2):
    • A shotgun having 1 or more barrels less than 18 inches in length; or
    • A shotgun made into a modified weapon that is less than 26 inches in length.
  • Authorizes the court to add sentences of imprisonment of not more than 10 years if an individual knowingly or intentionally uses or possesses a sawed-off shotgun in violation of federal law while committing an offense of dealing in a controlled substance (Sec. 5).
