Congressman Farenthold's Statement on Net Neutrality

Press Release

Date: Feb. 26, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

Today, February 26, 2015, Congressman Blake Farenthold (TX-27), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, released the following statement regarding the FCC's vote to regulate the internet as a Title II Utility:

"Today we saw three unelected bureaucrats impose regulations older than World War II on the internet. That's insane. As a founder of a tech company and an online citizen since the 80's, I believe in the open internet, but that isn't accomplished by scrapping a free internet in favor of a regulated one. Net neutrality is a solution looking for a problem and that is a flimsy excuse for more government regulation of the net."
