Hickenlooper's "Reckless" Support for Obamacare Leads to More Policy Cancellations in Colorado

Today candidate for Governor Bob Beauprez issued the following statement after the Colorado Division of Insurance reported that 18,783 Coloradans had their health insurance policies cancelled last month, and more than 192,942 will have their policies cancelled next year.

"Barack Obama pledged to fundamentally transform America. At least here in Colorado, with John Hickenlooper's support, he has fundamentally transformed, and denied, our access to quality healthcare. John Hickenlooper's support for Obamacare has forced many Colorado families to live with fewer choices, higher premiums, and less access to care. Instead of supporting policies that put the doctor-patient relationship first, John Hickenlooper wants to put Washington, DC bureaucrats in charge of our healthcare decisions.

"It's a governor's job to stand up for Colorado. Sometimes that means saying no to Barack Obama and Washington, D.C."
