Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today released the following statement on Attorney General Eric Holder's decision to leave the administration:
"Attorney General Eric Holder has been an outstanding leader of the Department of Justice, where he has upheld the very high standards of this storied institution.
"In his role as America's chief law enforcement officer, Eric Holder has advanced key national priorities including successfully prosecuting terrorists in federal criminal court, protecting communities from gangs and gun violence, defending civil and voting rights and ensuring all married couples are treated equally under the law.
"I commend Attorney General Holder for his exemplary service to our country and wish him the very best."
