Former Chief Judge and Congressional challenger Ann Callis called on Congressman Rodney Davis and his allies in Congress to avoid another government shutdown. The U.S. House of Representatives has scheduled only six legislative days before federal funding expires on September 30.
"As I have traveled around our district this week, more and more Illinoisans are concerned that Congressman Davis and his allies in Congress will fail to avoid another government shutdown. With only six scheduled legislative days left before September 30, Congress needs to quickly come together in a bipartisan manner and prevent another self-inflicted wound on our local economy," said Callis.
