Costello Receives Endorsement from Southeastern PA Chambers of Commerce

Press Release

Date: Sept. 17, 2014
Location: West Chester, PA

Ryan Costello continues to expand his growing base of support, announcing today that he has earned the support of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chambers of Commerce (SEPAC), an organization comprised of members of the Main Line, TriCounty Area, and Delaware County Chambers of Commerce. SEPAC endorsed Costello's campaign for Congress in Pennsylvania's 6th District based on his positions on business issues.

"Local businesses that make up the membership of our regional chambers of commerce are integral parts of our communities," said Costello. "These are the businesses that support local charities and non-profits, sponsor our youth sports teams, and employ tens of thousands of area residents. I greatly appreciate their support for my campaign for Congress and the confidence they have placed in my candidacy."

"The candidates endorsed by SEPAC recognize the needs of businesses in Southeast PA and across the Commonwealth," said Jeannie Liggett, Board Chairwoman. "They understand that to improve the business climate in Pennsylvania, we must lower business taxes, roll back restrictive regulations, reform the pension system, and improve our failing infrastructure. Our Board feels a thriving economy impacts the residents, municipalities and institutions of the area, as well as all of Pennsylvania. Support of pro-business policies will go a long way towards keeping Southeastern Pennsylvania a great place to live, work and raise a family."

The three chambers of commerce that comprise SEPAC represent more than 5,000 members across four counties and are the premier business advocacy organizations within Southeastern Pennsylvania.

SEPAC is the latest business organization to throw its support behind Costello, joining the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Federation of Independent Business, and the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry.

Costello has campaigned on the theme of working to end the gridlock in Washington, DC by building consensus on issues, particularly policies impacting the economy, business growth, and job creation. Costello has expressed his support for increasing the nation's investment in education, particularly in areas like science, technology, engineering, and math so that American students of can better compete on a global scale.
