Walsh Statement in Remembrance of 9-11-01

Statement

Date: Sept. 11, 2014
Location: Washington, DC

Senator John Walsh released the following statement to remember September 11th, 2001:

"In the thirteen years that have passed since September 11th, 2001, our nation has experienced more tragedy and adversity.

"What hasn't changed is how as a nation we triumph in difficult times. Throughout our history, Americans have united to face our biggest challenges.

"Past and present, the need to work together to support each other, to lift each other, and to inspire each other is what makes the United States a nation that triumphs over adversity.

"Today we remember and honor the victims and their families and the American troops who are still deployed overseas--including the Montanans currently serving in Afghanistan."
