Issue Position

I believe fundamentally in a woman's right to make her own health care decisions, and I do not believe the government should come between a woman and her doctor.

I will be a staunch defender of equality not just on this issue, but also on the issues of equal pay and maternity leave. It's 2014: it's time for women to earn the same wages as men for the same work, and it's time to join the rest of the developed world in guaranteeing paid maternity leave. I'm proud that my great aunt, Sheila Krikorian, fought to make the "Krikorian rule" part of American corporate law when she bravely stood up over twenty years ago for not getting paid the same as men for the same work.
