Location: Portland, ME

Today, the Misiuk for Congress campaign officially kicked off their campaign for U.S. Congress in Maine's First Congressional District against three term incumbent Democrat Rochelle "Chellie" Pingree. Isaac received his party's nomination in an uncontested GOP primary Tuesday night and will head to the November General Election against Pingree. Isaac, undaunted by the challenge he faces is ready to take his message to the voters.

"If Congress is going to decide to stick us with the bill for everything from healthcare to entitlements, my generation deserves a seat at the table." said Misiuk at his Thursday morning Press Conference. "Our youth works, pays taxes, and participates fully in our society. But what we're experiencing now is effectively taxation without representation."

At age 25, Isaac Misiuk is the youngest Congressional candidate in the nation. He is a lifelong Mainer, and knows first-hand the struggles that so many in Maine face. He is the working father of a six-year old son, and is pursuing his degree part-time from the University of Southern Maine.

Isaac ended his press conference with "My generation and future generations, in Maine and across America, shouldn't have to wait for someone to stand up as a voice. So I did, and I am excited for the opportunity to talk to Mainers about the real issues they're facing. I am running to be a voice for our future."
