Life

Jim is pro-life from conception thru last natural breath. Jim opposes euthanasia and human cloning. Jim will be a strong defender of the unborn, as well as the physically and mentally disabled and elderly.

In contrast, Tim Walz is extreme on the issue, having voted to allow abortion during the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th month of pregnancy. Even liberal European countries generally ban abortion after the twentieth week.

Marriage

Like the majority of southern Minnesotans, Jim believes marriage should be between one man and one woman. Jim believes in tolerance and treating every person with dignity, and Jim feels the right to believe and live by a traditional or religious understanding of marriage should not be attacked or restricted in the name of civil rights or diversity. In contrast, Tim Walz supports same sex marriage.

End Marriage-Hostile Taxes

Currently, our taxation structure in the federal government (as well as in MN) creates significant tax burdens AGAINST marriage. Jim supports broad-based tax reform at the federal level so you, rather than DC politicians and bureaucrats, are empowered to decide how best to invest and spend your financial resources and live your life. Jim also supports repeal of Obamacare for many reasons, including that the Act imposes a penalty on married couples in certain circumstances.
