Issue Position: Community

Issue Position

Focusing on adding value to our communities, in particular, our inner city, urban areas will continue to be a priority. Finding innovative ways and alternatives for young children to build perspectives into the world serves great value to our community now and for the future. This is in harmony with public safety and keeping our communities where Philadelphians want to live, work, and play.

Urban and inner city neighborhoods have been overlooked for far too long. I plan to implement strategies that reinvest our resources into the 195th District to revitalize the area.

Greening urban lots
Children and youth programs and sports
Working with ex-offenders programs to reduce the prison pipeline and recidivism rates
Promoting local small businesses to help create more jobs and help sustain our local economy
Focusing on smart programs that engage our youth positively
Pass common sense safety laws
Being tough yet smart on crime
We have come a significant way but there is still more work to be done we need to engage those who are affected in our communities. That is what I am doing! Alternative sentencing, community service for time served, drug court, veteran's court. I will work with all branches of government and organizations to bring a holistic approach to making our communities safe.
