Idaho National Laboratory is eastern Idaho's largest private employer. Its contributions to the development of safe, reliable nuclear energy, a more secure nation and sustainable energy and environmental systems are matchless. Its staff is one of the most highly skilled and educated workforces in the nation. As such, it is recognized as an invaluable regional and national resource.
Yet, federal budget and policy changes are challenging the Lab's future and, by extension, our region's economic well being.
INL has always had my steadfast support and I'm committed to doing whatever I can as a member of the Governor's Leadership in Nuclear Energy (LINE) Commission to ensure the INL, University Place, and the Center for Advanced Energy Studies position our community well for a prosperous future.
