Issue Position: State Sovereignty

Issue Position

Utah lands are best used to support Utah children. The Federal government owns greater than 60% of Utah's land, removing a vital potential revenue source for Utah's education system, through the sale of those lands, or the extraction of natural resources. Further measures to prevent Federal encroachment are necessary. Additionally, Federal involvement in local education curriculum and testing standards place an undue burden on teachers and students. Our children deserve better.
