Statement

The last couple of weeks have been especially difficult for many Americans, particularly those who have friends and family in places like Israel, Ukraine, and Holland. The increasing unrest around the world combined with economic uncertainty here at home and the rising cost of everything from food and fuel to healthcare has added to the growing burden of stress facing American families.

There is a leadership deficit in Washington that's impacting all of us, but this fall voters like you can choose to replace the 10th District's ineffective representation with serious, thoughtful leadership that will restore our voice and put people ahead of politics.

The absence of adequate representation for the 10th District is as unacceptable to me as it is to you and as always I remain fully committed to delivering the focused, accountable and accessible leadership our community demands and deserves. Today, our country and our state face no shortage of steep challenges but I remain confident that with you support this fall we can turn things around and that our best days are yet to come.
