Senator Moore is deeply committed to the issues that affect our brave men and women of the Second Worcester District who serve in the Armed Forces of the United States.

In 2012, the Senator joined a bi-partisan effort to pass the VALOR Act, which increased benefits and opportunities for veterans. The final legislation included an amendment by Senator Moore that established a statewide policy for all public higher education institutions in order to standardize credit-by-exam equivalencies for exams funded by the United States government through the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support and developed statewide transfer procedures for these credits. The amendment allows our military personnel and veterans to achieve their educational goals while serving to protect our nation.
