Statement by Secretary Johnson on the Extradition of Ivan Soto-Barraza

Statement

I am pleased that Ivan Soto-Barraza, charged with the first degree murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, has been extradited to the United States for prosecution here. I thank the U.S. Department of Justice and the Government of Mexico for the extradition. Agent Terry was murdered near Nogales, Arizona in 2010. As I said to Brian Terry's mother and brother some months ago, we will not forget those who are killed in the line of duty for this Department, and we pledge to their families that we will do all we can to bring the killers to justice.
