Issue Position: Jobs and Economy

Issue Position

Chuck McIlhinney knows we must make Pennsylvania more competitive in the national marketplace to attract new businesses to our region and help existing businesses grow and expand. That's why he's supported comprehensive tax and regulation reforms as our State Senator.

He voted to eliminate the inheritance tax on family-owned small businesses and farms to help protect job creators, local family farms, and small businesses throughout our region. He also voted for common sense regulatory reforms to curb lawsuit abuse and reform the unemployment compensation program to help make our state more attractive to new businesses and job creators.

Chuck helped create thousands of new jobs in the natural gas industry while ensuring strong environmental protection and oversight of the Marcellus Shale development.

He has also made sure work training and skills re-training programs are available to help the unemployed seeking jobs acquire the skills they need to be more successful -- an effort he began years ago in the Bucks County Office of Employment and Training.
