Congressman Tom Price, M.D. (GA-06), vice chairman of the House Budget Committee and a member of the House Education and the Workforce Committee, applauded the bipartisan passage of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, saying:

"By reforming and streamlining our job training and workforce development programs, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act eliminates that which is wasteful or needlessly burdensome. It puts in place smarter policies that reflect the needs of today's job seekers, job creators and those state and local stakeholders who are providing assistance. These bipartisan solutions will help bridge the 'skills gap' in our country so the millions of Americans who are looking for work have a greater opportunity to get that job they seek and to provide for themselves and their families. At the same time, it makes the entire system more accountable to taxpayers by ensuring job training efforts are focused on what's effective."
