Hidalgo County (the anchor of CD 15 in terms of population and voting strength) has been among the highest impoverished counties in the entire nation for the past 17+ years. Instead of continuing to give HAND-OUTS, we need to give people a HAND UP by creating jobs. Government's role in creating jobs is to take excessive regulations off the backs of our small businesses, so they can grow and produce real, good-paying jobs!
