Issue Position

The legislature is falling short on their responsibility to fund education and is leaving local governments to pick up the tab. As a result, school districts across the state are cutting education staff. In Anchorage alone, by next year we'll have lost 400 positions in four years.

As a Biochemistry graduate, I firmly believe that we must invest in education that supports STEM, arts and music, and critical-thinking skills to ensure that our youth are competitive in the current digital economy.
