Conservative and Tea Party activists nationwide have made their voice loud and clear: they do not support amnesty for illegal aliens, and in North Carolina, only one candidate has made his position clear since day one: Phil Berger. Phil opposes pathways to citizenship for illegals and supports securing the border.

"Amnesty for illegals is a major defining issue for conservatives and tea party activists," Phil Berger said. "As a prosecutor, I've seen first hand the effects of illegal immigration: the overcrowding of our jails, illegals feeding off our tax dollars, and jeopardizing public safety. Amnesty only encourages more illegals to flood across our borders and break our laws."
