It's Time to Approve the Keystone XL Pipeline

Press Release

Date: April 16, 2014
Location: Murphysborough, IL

The Mike Bost for Congress campaign announced Wednesday that the campaign raised more than $211,000 in the first three months of 2014 -- making it the most successful quarter to date and nearly matching first-term incumbent Democrat Bill Enyart.

"I am honored by the outpouring of support from all across the district," said Bost. "Voters are looking for a representative that will serve as a small government advocate for Southern Illinois. Congressman Enyart was elected on the premise of being a voice for us but instead, he and Nancy Pelosi have spoken under the same voice. As your congressman, I am committed to returning common sense, conservative leadership back to Southern Illinois.

Illinois' 12th Congressional District race is viewed as one of 2014′s key national battleground campaigns. Earlier this year, National Journal listed this seat among those "most likely to flip" in November.

Mike Bost has an extensive and dedicated tradition of public service -- serving in the U.S. Marines, a firefighter and as a local and state elected official. He currently serves as a state representative in Illinois' 115th District.

The 12th Congressional District covers all or part of Alexander, Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Perry, Pulaski, Randolph, St. Clair, Union and Williamson counties.
