Issue Position

As a life-long progressive, I am committed to improving the quality of life of our citizens and residents. We must ensure that our neighborhoods are safe and that our citizens are protected from harm. We must also take care of the most vulnerable, the poor, the elderly and provide important services to our senior citizens. And most important we must work to eliminate poverty and provide direct supports to the victims of poverty--women and children. I support payment of Living Wages not only by Montgomery County government contractors but also by our State. Better jobs, more affordable housing, access to health care are all fundamental elements of a better quality of life formula that must work for everybody.
