Alexander Statement on Memorial Day

U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today issued the following statement in commemoration of Memorial Day this coming Monday:

"As we celebrate Memorial Day this year, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedoms and ensure our safety. It is also important that we be mindful of the thousands of Tennesseans who serve our country on active duty and in the reserves and National Guard, including those who are currently deployed overseas. We are grateful for all the men and women who have worn the uniform of the Armed Services, and we owe them and their families a debt of gratitude that we couldn't possibly repay."
