Issue Position: Protect the Sanctity of Life

Issue Position

I am pro-life. In each of my legislative campaigns, I have earned the endorsement of Georgia Right to Life.

For me, being a strong advocate for Life is not about politics. My respect for, and defense of, innocent human life is a deeply-held personal conviction. I revere Life as a gift from God. As the father of two children, I know that Life is a miracle.

Every human life is filled with intrinsic value. And as our Founders wrote in the Declaration of Independence, "We are endowed by our Creator, with certain inalienable rights..." And, of course, the first right is the Right to Life.

I believe Life begins at conception and will work to promote policies that protect the sanctity of Life. That includes:

* Promoting adoption as an alternative to abortion through favorable tax policies and by streamlining the adoption process.

* Eliminating government funding of organizations that fund abortion.

* Requiring minors to obtain parental consent prior to obtaining abortions.
