Stutzman: "The President Can't Pick and Choose the Laws He Enforces"

Statement

Date: March 12, 2014
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Congressman Marlin Stutzman issued the following statement after the House of Representatives passed the ENFORCE the Law Act.

"The President can't pick and choose the laws he enforces. By making up the rules as they go--from gutting welfare reform to issuing politically driven ObamaCare delays--this Administration has defied our nation's constitutional checks and balances. Today, the House of Representatives passed common-sense legislation allowing Congress to authorize a lawsuit against the executive branch for failing to uphold its constitutional duty to faithfully execute the laws. If President Obama disagrees with the laws on the books, he should work with Congress and the American people to change them. That's what limited government is all about."
