Nevada Senator Harry Reid issued the following statement on the compromise to extend unemployment insurance reached today between Senators Jack Reed (D-RI) and Dean Heller (R-NV):
"This bipartisan compromise will help Americans who depend on unemployment insurance to pay the rent while they continue looking for a job. In Nevada alone, 26,000 unemployed workers would see their lifeline restored. I am confident that we will pass this bill in the coming days. More than two million Americans depend on Congress approving this agreement."
