Issue Position: Create Manufacturing Jobs and Grow Small Business

Issue Position

Our country was built on the backs of middle class Americans. We must focus on bringing back the strength of our middle class which has been steadily eroding for the past 30 years. It's time to eliminate tax breaks for corporations outsourcing jobs. And instead, provide tax incentives to small businesses, to create jobs here. I support measures that encourage business to take the long view and reinvest in workers and plants, equipment and research and development in the U.S. I support incentives that include livable wages. I support collective bargaining and the efforts of our brothers and sisters in organized labor who are working hard to rebuild the middle class. I believe labor, business and the government must work together to create jobs and a vibrant economy here at home.
