Congressman Lamborn's Statement on the 2014 State of the Union

Statement

Date: Jan. 29, 2014

Following President Obama's 2014 State of the Union Address, Congressman Doug Lamborn issued the following statement:

"The President talked in his State of the Union Address about using a pen and a phone to work around Congress. Well, I have a Constitution and an Oath. The Framers of this Country set up our form of government so that we would work together with checks and balances. No one should act unilaterally, that's not healthy for America. I wish that the President would learn to reach out, work with both Houses of Congress, Republicans as well as Democrats, and get a lot more done together."
