Entrepreneurship Training for Veterans
Veterans have given all Americans the freedoms and protection of pursuing their dreams. In honoring their service, Senator West has created a program that fosters and promotes veteran entrepreneurship by teaching veterans what state and federal resources are available to them in the pursuit of small business ownership.

Access to Emergency Services
Senator West expanded the 211 Texas Help system to include a statewide database of non-profits as well as local, state and federal emergency and medical providers who offer services specifically tailored for veterans and their families. The bill also included provisions to train 211 operators to recognize and respond to crisis symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during calls.
