Congresswoman Candice Miller Statement on Terry Schiavo
Ready to return to work if called

Washington -- Congresswoman Candice Miller released the following statement regarding Terry Schiavo:

"I am stunned at the action taken today to allow the removal of the feeding tube from Terry Schiavo while her parents and other family members wish for her to live and are willing to take care of her.

"Leaders of the Congress attempted to take action last night and today to save this woman's life, but the courts and her husband have decided to ignore that action. Members of Congress have been informed that we should be prepared to return to session next week in order to protect Terry Schiavo. I stand ready to return to Washington in the hopes that we can take action and allow her loving parents to continue to care for their daughter.

"This is a time for the Members of both Houses of the Congress to stand together to uphold a culture of life."
