Issue Position

The words "Lower Taxes" involve much more than the rate at which your income is taxed. To me lowering the overall revenue needed to operate our state government is lowering the tax burden on our citizens. The more any government spends, the taxpayers will automatically have less to spend. Government at any level has one source of income, "YOU", it all comes from you in the form of a tax, fee or penalty. If we believe that the people are better stewards of their money than the government, we should do everything possible to hold the line or decrease the operating budget of our state.
