Roskam: People Want Certainty, Not More Empty Promises

Statement

Date: Nov. 14, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congressman Peter Roskam (IL-06) released the following statement responding to President Obama's announcement of administrative changes to ObamaCare:

"For the millions of people who recently lost their healthcare coverage thanks to Obamacare, I doubt they are reassured by the president's comments today. The president has an enormous credibility gap with the American people, and today he asked people to just keep trusting him. The Administration's plan is a fig leaf and not a real fix, the only thing it accomplishes is passing the blame. Americans deserve better, so tomorrow the House will vote on the Keep Your Healthcare Act, a one-page, straightforward bill that follows through on the president's promise that if you like your healthcare you can keep it. People want certainty, not more empty promises from the White House."
