"Harsh government restrictions imposed by the health care law and strict requirements implemented by the Environment Protection Agency are a few examples of federal regulations that drive up operating costs and hinder job growth. A few good rules enacted to ensure public safety and to protect our environment are necessary. However, we must stop unreasonable and heavy-handed restrictions that hurt job growth in some of our nation's most critical industries." -- Rep. Roby in her weekly newsletter, March 20, 2012.

"The Obama Administration has demonstrated a willingness to use the power of federal agencies to circumvent Congress and advance its agenda through the regulatory process. In doing so, the Administration puts unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats in a position to impose controversial regulations on the American people. Experts estimate that business owners--the people who are in the best position to create new jobs and spur economic growth-- face an annual regulatory burden of $1.75 trillion, and that the cost of new regulations this year will exceed $67 billion." -- Rep. Roby discusses her support for the REINS Act, December 7, 2011.

"Congress has the responsibility to ensure that the NLRB's labor interests are not undermining an employer's efforts to create jobs and grow their businesses. At a time when approximately 14 million Americans are unemployed and searching for work - not to mention the millions that have given up - Congress must implement policies that encourage new jobs - not hinder them." -- Rep. Roby speaking in support of the Workforce Democracy and Fairness Act, December 1, 2011.

"Congress has a responsibility to ensure that the National Labor Relations Board objectively applies the law written by the people's elected representatives. Congress must also work to ensure labor interests are not undermining an employer's efforts to create jobs. At a time when millions of individuals are unemployed and searching for work, public officials in Washington should look to provide greater certainty to America's employers so they can grow their businesses and create new jobs, not hinder them." -- Rep. Roby speaking about her support for the Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act, September 15, 2011.

"The federal government, especially the NLRB, has no right to dictate where a company can or cannot create jobs." -- Rep. Roby supporting business owners, September 15, 2011.

"Standing in our way of a solution for economic growth and stability is an administration placing stringent regulatory requirements on everything - from farm dust to cement - which is suffocating our business owners and stifling job development." -- The Dothan Eagle quotes Rep. Roby, September 3, 2011.

"Congresswoman Roby has shown decisive leadership to protect good manufacturing jobs from regulations that even the EPA itself has admitted need to be changed." - Donna Harman, President and CEO of AF&PA, July 18, 2011.
