Issue Position

Senator Pou is committed to keeping existing businesses and jobs here in New Jersey, while simultaneously enticing new businesses and jobs to the state.

When the current economic crisis unfolded in Fall 2008, Pou worked with the Legislature and Governor to help enact a statewide economic recovery plan-- the first in the nation to do so, even before the federal government began its own recovery efforts. Senator Pou also is a prime sponsor of six of the ten economic recovery bills that have been signed into law since then.

These laws provide direct business assistance and business incentive programs to ensure quality jobs and companies stay viable in the Garden State.
