As UNESCO & the Castro Regime Celebrates UNESCO'S Che Guevara Glorification with Havana Ceremony that Includes Che's Widow & Children, Ros-Lehtinen Says that it Demonstrates that this UN Body Has No Compass on What is Good & Evil

Today Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) issued the following statement on reports that UNESCO celebrated their glorification of mass murderer Che Guevara by hosting an event in Havana attended by Che's widow and children. UNESCO decided to include "The Life and Works of Ernesto Che Guevara" in this year's additions to the Memory of the World Register. Statement by Ros-Lehtinen:

Anyone who values human rights must be appalled at UNESCO's glorification last Friday in Havana of sadistic killer Che Guevara. UNESCO has a long history of making outrageous and nonsensical decisions. The latest horrid decision of this UN agency that salutes Che Guevara is just another one to add to a long list of idiotic UNESCO decisions. This one in particular is a hurtfully insulting one for the families of the many Cubans who were sadistically executed by Che and his cronies.

UNESCO's action is a clear example of what is wrong with the UN. US law mandates that our country can no longer fund UNESCO because it admitted a nonexistent Palestine, but Secretary of State Kerry wants Congress to change the law to allow taxpayer money to once again flow to this monstrosity of an agency."
