Congressman Cantor Applauds House Plan To Provide Students Certainty On Student Loans

Statement

Date: July 31, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-7) today released the following statement on House-passed student loan legislation:

"The Senate finally decided to stop playing politics with our students and join the House to stop student loan rates from skyrocketing. The House acted back in May to relieve families of this uncertainty, protect students, and keep rates low. The surest way to get ahead is through access to higher education, and today the House acted once again to ensure working middle class families can realize that goal. I thank Chairman John Kline and Representative Virginia Foxx for their continued work on this important issue, and urge the President to swiftly sign this bill to protect all students."
