Rep. Takano Issues Statement on Perris Valley Line Settlement

Earlier today, Rep. Mark Takano (D-Riverside) issued the following statement after the Riverside County Transportation Commission settled with a community group to allow the Perris Valley Line project to continue:

"I'm pleased to see the Riverside County Transportation Commission reach an agreement with a community group that will allow the Perris Valley Line project to move forward. This is a win for our region as not only will the proposed 24-mile rail line take an estimated 4,000 cars off the road each day, but it will create badly needed jobs for the Inland Empire. With the settlement now in place, I look forward to construction beginning this fall."
