Governor Hassan and Executive Council Proclaim Old Man of the Mountain Remembrance Day

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the collapse of the iconic New Hampshire landmark, Governor Maggie Hassan and the Executive Council have proclaimed tomorrow, May 3, 2013, as Old Man of the Mountain Remembrance Day.

"The Old Man of the Mountain was a beloved icon and source of pride for the people of New Hampshire," Governor Hassan said. "Though we continue to miss him, the strength and spirit symbolized by the Old Man of the Mountain live on throughout the Granite State."

The proclamation will be read by Senator Jeff Woodburn at the 10th Anniversary Tribute to the Old Man of the Mountain being held at the Profile Plaza in Franconia Notch on Friday. For more information on the tribute event, please visit www.OldManNH.org.
