Governor Pat McCrory issued the following press statement this afternoon concerning tax reform:
"We look forward to reviewing Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger's proposal and getting more details as we all work to improve our outdated tax system," said Governor McCrory. "A number of tax bills have already been filed and we anticipate more to come. We will review the strengths of each proposal and work to reach concensus on a plan that will make our state more competitive for job creation."
Governor McCrory's goal is to implement tax reform that is financially sound, fair, and rewards productivity, savings and investment.
We commend Senate leaders for their hard work in reforming North Carolina government.
