Congressman Ted Yoho (FL-03) voted in favor today of a measure to give the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) the flexibility to make cost-saving decisions within the agency without continuing to furlough air traffic controllers. Earlier this week, the FAA announced that it had begun furloughs for air traffic controllers to meet the forced spending cuts caused by President Obama's sequestration.

Congressman Yoho said, "This is an example of members from both parties, in the House and the Senate, coming together and putting Americans first. We've argued over who's responsible for this mindless sequestration for long enough. Congress had the opportunity today to correct the Administration's poor decision to furlough the air traffic controllers who keep our skies safe, and I'm pleased we put party politics aside and provided the common sense leadership this country needs."
