Rep. Rice (SC-07) released the following statement today regarding the House passage of the Preventing Greater Uncertainty in Labor-Management Relations Act:
"Like most South Carolinians, I have watched President Obama's National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) with great wariness. For the past four years, the President's appointees have recklessly administered decisions which have hindered job growth in our country. To add insult to serious injury, President Obama installed the latest NLRB members without the consent of the Senate. Today's legislation calls for the NLRB to return to regular, legal order by mandating Senate confirmations. Until the Senate confirms the President's appointees, this legislation strips the current NLRB appointees of their power."
