Dalrymple Directs Flags to be Flown at Half-staff in Honor of the Victims of the Tragedy in Boston

In accordance with a directive from President Barack Obama, Governor Jack Dalrymple today directed all state government agencies and encouraged all North Dakotans to fly the United States and North Dakota flags at half-staff as a mark of respect for the victims of the violence that occurred yesterday in Boston. The directive is effective immediately and will end at sunset on Saturday, April 20.

"Betsy and I join all North Dakotans in extending our thoughts and prayers to the families who lost loved ones and to those who were injured as a result of the senseless acts of violence that were carried out yesterday in Boston," Dalrymple said. "We continue to pray for the North Dakotans who participated in the Boston Marathon and for all the runners and spectators that were impacted by this tragedy."
