Today's decision by the FAA to close 149 federal contract towers on April 7, including Nashua Airport's, illustrates the very real and devastating consequences of sequestration. Following the news, Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter issued this statement:

"Instead of allowing sequestration to continue damaging our economy and the lives of workers across New Hampshire, House Republicans should allow a vote on legislation that would stop sequestration, strengthen the middle class, and responsibly reduce our deficit."
