Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-7) released the following statement today after voting in support of the House Republican budget resolution for the fiscal year 2014:

"The U.S. House has put forth and passed a responsible, balanced budget that serves as a guiding vision of America's fiscal future.

"With our economy still struggling, unemployment at 7.7% and the country $16.7 trillion in debt, the House Republicans have presented a fiscal blueprint that will balance the budget, create jobs and put more money in the pockets of hardworking American taxpayers.

"It is now time for the U.S. Senate to act accordingly, and it is my hope that they will put forth an equally responsible plan so that together we can help place our Nation on a long-term glide path toward a healthier, more vibrant economy."
