Statement

Date: March 21, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Rep. Scott Garrett (R-NJ), senior Member of the House Budget Committee and Chairman of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets and Government-Sponsored Enterprises, issued the following statement after the House passed the Fiscal Year 2014 budget today:

"Our spending-driven debt crisis is the most predictable economic crisis in our nation's history, and the American people sent us to Washington to confront it. Today, I joined my colleagues in the House and made the tough decisions the American people demand. The Path to Prosperity takes the first step towards reversing the path to debt and decline that President Obama and his fellow Democrats have laid out for the American people."
