Laying Down the L.A.W. Blog: Westmoreland Receives 2013 FreedomWorks "FreedomFighter Award"

Statement

I am proud to announce that Congressman Westmoreland has received the 2013 FreedomWorks "FreedomFighter Award." This is the second year FreedomWorks has recognized members of the House and Senate with this award, and the second time Congressman Westmoreland has been a recipient.

FreedomWorks scores Members of Congress based on their votes in defense of economic freedom, such as fighting for lower taxes and smaller government. Key votes in 2012 that determined his rating included his "yea' votes on the Stop the War on Coal Act, and the Repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare). In 2012, Congressman Westmoreland received a 95% approval rate, and has a lifetime approval rate of 92%.

FreedomWorks is a grassroots service center with over 4 million activists nationwide. Their mission is to promote individual liberty and constitutionally-limited government. Congressman Westmoreland is honored to receive this prestigious award, and commends FreedomWork on their dedication to preserving conservative values in government.
