Rep. Mulvaney Releases Statement Regarding White House Canceling Tours for Constituents

Statement

Date: March 6, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

The White House announced yesterday that it will no longer offer tours for constituents visiting Washington, D.C., effective March 9, 2013. Representative Mulvaney released the following statement:

"The news that The White House has canceled tours for visitors is unfortunate, and it's even more unfortunate that this administration continues to play politics with the sequester. Every Member of Congress took the same cut to our budgets, yet the Capitol is still open for tours. I welcome and encourage folks from the Fifth District of South Carolina to tour the Capitol during their trips to Washington, D.C. As always, constituents can contact my Washington office at (202)225-5501 to schedule a tour of the U.S. Capitol."
