Governor Sean Parnell today applauded the Alaska House of Representatives following the passage of House Bill 77, the governor's bill to further reform and streamline the state's permitting process.

"Alaskans deserve a fair and efficient permitting process, one that creates more job opportunities, and that is exactly what our bill provides," Governor Parnell said. "I am pleased the Alaska House of Representatives passed this legislation promoting responsible resource development."

The legislation reforms and streamlines the process for obtaining, issuing and appealing permits, leases, best interest findings and other authorizations dealing with land and water issued by the Department of Natural Resources.
