Congressman Payne, Jr., issued the following statement after the U.S. Postal Service announced it was going to end Saturday mail delivery:

"It is unfortunate that the U.S. Postal Service has had to make the decision to stop Saturday mail delivery to reduce its financial challenges as postal employees and Saturday delivery serve an important function in my district. The decision highlights the need to reform the postal system more than ever before to prevent further reductions and cuts. For the benefit of the American people and our businesses, Congress must work together to reform and strengthen the postal system."
